& Design Clients
For our planning & design clients, we offer our own in house floral design services as well. We do this because florals can truly make or break a design. They are like the glaze that brings a piece of ceramics to life, the trinkets that bring your house feel like a home, the accessories that you pair with your favorite pair of jeans and sweater that really make it an outfit. And since we get into the weeds with our designs, we wanted to make sure that the florals really brought the finishing touch correctly to what we created with our clients.
In addition, handling the florals in house helps us control costs for our clients. We can do more with a smaller budget which means we can help to minimize your expenses while maximizing what you get. There is no required minimum spend for our design clients, but in general we like to not drop below $3,000 for our micro wedding clients, and $5,ooo for our regular sized wedding clients. And obviously the larger your guest count, the more your floral budget will need to be.
a la carte floral design services
In general we only offer floral design in combination with our event design services, however we are open to taking a limited amount (4-6 weddings or events) of a la carte floral design contracts each year.
Because we are already busy with rentals contracts + our own planning & design clients at the Wild West Collective, we are selective on which a la carte florals we take on. Any a la carte floral services that we add to our schedule will need to be something that sparks joy and challenges us creatively. Our florals are creative, unique, usually fairly colorful, and a little funky. We don’t do traditional floral design concepts (all single stem white roses, etc) and we won’t ever rinse and repeat floral designs that have been done over and over again.
Any a la carte floral clients need to also already need to be working with an event designer + planner for their wedding that will provide us with a full design deck and a solid estimate of floral needs for the project.
If your planner/designer does not already have a design deck going, a fully thought through and cohesive Pinterest board will work as well.
Our a la carte floral minimum is $5,000. However please know that we do not mark our wholesale costs up nearly as much as other florists. You will usually get close to twice the amount of flowers with us as you would with a traditional florist — that’s because our a la carte floral design clients are a creative outlet for us and we want to maximize our finished product, and therefore our own creativity, for them.
